Configuring the results grid layout

The results grid layout defines how Meridian Explorer displays document or object tag information in the results pane of a repository view. Each repository view has one results grid layout.

You can configure the following features of the layout:

• Column layout
• Available toolbar buttons and their captions
• Size of thumbnail images shown in the Thumbnail view

To configure the results grid layout:

1. In the Meridian Explorer Configurator, in the left pane, select the view of the repository that you want to configure. The selected view appears in the right pane.
2. In the right pane, click the button for the view that you want to configure. The view's configuration options appear in a new page in Configurator.

To add a columns:

1. To add a single column, click Add Column. To add multiple columns, click the arrow next to Add Column, click Add Multiple, and continue as described in Selecting multiple properties. A new row appears in the column list for each column that you added.
2. For each new row, select options in each column using the descriptions in the following table.

To remove a column:

• Right-click a row in the column list and select Remove. The row is removed from the list.

To configure the column order:

• Drag a row and drop it in the preferred location in the list.

To preview the results of your changes:

• Click the Preview tab. The Preview page shows how the current column layout will appear to users in the Meridian Explorer client application. No actual data is shown.

3. To configure the toolbar buttons:

1. Click Configure Toolbar Buttons. The Configure Toolbar Buttons dialog box appears.
2. Click options or type values using the descriptions in the following table.

3. Click OK to save your changes.

4. To configure the thumbnail image size:

1. Click Thumbnail Size. The Thumbnails dialog box appears.
2. Drag the sliders to the image size that you want.

3. Click OK to save your changes.

5. Click Save Changes.
